COSHH

Back Home Up

COSHH logoThe Control Of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations (COSHH) have been in force, with regular amendments, since October 1989.

It's title is relatively self explanatory. It's aim is to secure the health and welfare of workers by making their employers' assess the potential risks and limiting their exposure to harmful materials.

At RoadSafe we can ease your burden  by performing your COSHH risk assessments for you, following our simple five point plan:

Step 1

Look for the hazards.

Step 2

Decide who may be harmed, and how.

Step 3

Evaluate the risks arising from the hazards and decide whether existing precautions are adequate, or if more should be done.

Step 4

Produce a detailed report of our significant findings, with any recommendations for improvements.

Step 5

Reviewing your assessment periodically and making amendments or revisions as necessary.

Remember that these regulations are  aimed at  any business that handles hazardous Substances. From manufacturing bulk chemicals to painting your office's front door with gloss paint, all risks must be assessed.
