ADR vocational training certificates last for five years. However, after four years the holder is entitled to attend a shorter refresher course to renew the existing entitlement for another five years, plus the remainder of the entitlement on the old certificate. To allow time for the new certificate to be issued, the retraining must take place no later than six weeks before the expiry date.
As no time is lost, we strongly recommend candidates to sit refresher courses as early in the fourth year as possible - if left too late then you must re-sit a full Initial course again, which wastes both time and money. Please note that you cannot add classes or modes to a license on a refresher course - you can only renew your current entitlement. Also, should you fail a section of the course, it cannot be re-sat - you must retake that section again on an initial course. All refresher courses run for three days.
We can offer generous discounts for block bookings and repeat business.
