RoadSafe Europe carries out practical expert Dangerous Goods compliance audits to help you understand how those arrangements work in practice, identify areas that need attention and set clear priorities for improvement.
With almost 30 years’ experience in Dangerous Goods consultancy and training, we bring a real-world perspective to the audit. We explain our findings clearly and make recommendations that your team can act on.

What does a Dangerous Goods audit cover?
We agree the audit scope with you in advance, based on your activities, sites, Dangerous Goods classes and transport modes. Depending on that scope, an audit may review:
The audit focuses on the activities and evidence within the agreed scope. It does not replace the duties of the business, its staff or other participants in the transport chain.
Clear findings and practical recommendations
You’ll receive a written report setting out the areas reviewed, findings and recommended actions. Where appropriate, findings can be grouped by priority:
We can also discuss the findings with your team and help you plan corrective actions. Follow-up work, additional site visits and substantial procedure or document writing can be agreed separately.
Audit options
Dangerous Goods Compliance Audit — from £750 + VAT
The fee depends on factors such as the number of sites, activities and transport modes in scope, the complexity of the dangerous goods, and the amount of preparation and follow-up required. We’ll agree the scope and provide a quotation before the audit.
Auditing can also be included within an ongoing DGSA consultancy package where it forms part of the agreed service.
Who should consider an audit?
An audit may be useful if your organisation:
Road, Rail and Inland Waterways
We can discuss audits relating to ADR road transport, RID rail transport and ADN inland-waterway transport. The audit’s regulatory scope will be agreed based on your activities and the relevant adviser’s qualifications.
An audit is not a certificate of approval
A compliance audit gives you a structured review of the arrangements and evidence included in its agreed scope. It is not government approval, a guarantee of compliance in every circumstance, or a substitute for any required DGSA appointment or annual report.
