Driver CPC Periodic Training
RoadSafe Europe have been providers Driver CPC periodic training for professional lorry, bus and coach drivers since its introduction in 2004. Choose from practical courses on road safety, vehicle operation, regulations and workplace safety, delivered at our Southampton training centre or at your premises.
Professional drivers need 35 hours of periodic training in each five-year qualification period before your current card expires (the next block for most drivers needs to be completed by September 2029).

We offer 3.5-hour and 7-hour International Driver CPC course modules. The course length and training type you need depend on the Driver CPC qualification you hold, so contact us if you are unsure which option to book.
Choose the subjects that suit your work
Our courses are designed to help drivers refresh their knowledge and apply it to everyday work. We rotate our available courses during each five-year block to make it easier to avoid replication of modules.
Where course approvals and Driver CPC requirements allow, shorter modules can be combined to make a full training day. Any two of our 3.5hr modules can be combined.

- Vehicle Weights, Dimensions and Licensing (3.5 hours)
- Economic Driving (3.5 hours)
- Safe Loading of Vehicles (3.5 hours)
- Prevention of Bridge Strikes (3.5 hours)
- Use of the Tachograph (3.5 hours)
- Vehicle and Load Security (3.5 hours)
We can also discuss custom-written tailored courses for company groups.
Practical, interactive training
Our trainers use discussion, examples, activities and interactive knowledge checks to keep sessions engaging and help drivers connect the subject to their work. Periodic training is not a pass-or-fail examination.
Drivers receive a Certificate of Attendance, and we submit completed training records to the DVSA system, usually within 24-hours.
Open courses in Southampton
Open 7-hour courses are held at our Southampton training centre, most often on weekends to reduce disruption to the working week. The classroom can accommodate up to 20 trainees.
Open 7-hour course: £60 per person, including VAT, course materials, refreshments and the DVSA training-record upload fee.
On-site training across the UK
We can deliver training at your premises, subject to suitable facilities and course arrangements.
On-site training starts from just £450 + VAT per day, depending on location, plus the DVSA training-record upload fee. Ask us about group bookings, five-day blocks or a course tailored to your drivers.
